Percussion Workshop

Aware of the importance of music in shaping the character of the individual, for over twenty years Maurizio Carbone educator, percussionist, author and composer, has turned his attention to music education. Many laboratories have already been carried out in schools, centers for disabled people in different regions of Italy and other structures, even for the disabled, who have welcomed the project, until the realization of videos and publication of CDs of concerts performed by the participants, viewed at following site: www.mauriziocarbone.altervista.org

 

The purpose of the workshop is to use the musical activities to help participants to improve the dynamics, strengthen communication, dialogue and listening to each other. Encourage everyone to get the best out of himself, in which the teacher constantly takes an attitude of listening and dialogue.

 

Objective of the project "Rhythms of Mother Earth" is to offer opportunities to experience alternative paths of growth of autonomy and decision-making skills and discovering hidden expression musical skills.

 

Purpose: The music workshop is an opportunity to strengthen and develop all those expressive capabilities that have a decisive role in the behavior of the participants in a group situation with a common goal to be achieved:

listening skills of the productions of the other;

alertness and concentration;

ability to perceive, modular and express the emotions that the relationship with the object-music arouses and extend these skills to other contexts;

ability to maintain the role given by the tenant of the activity;

growth on the side of self-esteem linked to a greater ability to self-assessment of the results achieved;

learning of a communication code spendable socially

Knowledge of various musical instruments "Percussion" belonging to various cultures;

Experiment with sound: let us be inspired through music and free our creativity;

Conception and construction of a musical show with ethnic percussion;

Tests for the show;

Final concert;

 

The activity is addressed to little girls / children, girls / boys, Disabled, Adults, is proposed to teach all of us how the psychic and physical limits, considered an impediment to social life, can become an opportunity that considers the individual as an active participant of his being and his activity in all the systems of life.

 

The music will be seen as listening and observation of rules, ability to appropriate it to be able to manage their own bodies, their thoughts and know entertain within them.

Directing a movement of the body to obey a musical gesture of the educator and be able to understand how the set will help you put together an orchestra of percussion where disabled children and not, will be treated on the same level.

The music, the rhythm and the sound; were the first elements of communication, from this we can deduce the importance of music in the formation of people. Michele Colucci educator, artist, pianist, keyboardist, experimenter of electronic music, percussionist, author and contemporary composer, has always paid attention to music education. Many laboratories have already been carried out in schools, centers for disabled people in different regions of Italy and other structures, even for the disabled, who have welcomed the project, until the realization of live concerts.

 

Skills development expression

• Knowledge of various musical instruments "keyboards"

• Experiment with sound: how to get a particular sound through the knowledge of keyboards

• Prime notions of how the tools of digital multitrack recording to create a CD

• Design and construction of a musical show with various instruments (keyboards, synths, piano, computer music etc.

• Tests for the show with the laboratory of MOTHER EARTH RHYTHMS

• Final concert in cooperation and harmony with the laboratory of MOTHER EARTH RHYTHMS
