MOTHER EARTH

MAURIZIO CARBONE

Edited by MANIFESTO, Italy

This is a disc that crosses sounds from different musical cultures, is a record that concretely supports the cause of minorities and indigenous peoples. There is a journey inside the Earth Mother, and we have played with the colors and signs of indigenous art

A tale "Other" made up of relationships and places, of knowledge and memories and transmitted through drums, vocals, strings and flutes. Experience passed from mouth to mouth, hand to hand, the instrument in the instrument. A kind of circular journey in and around our mother Earth. In this album, that crosses different musical cultures, Maurizio Carbone meets and hosts musicians as Dom Um Romao, Garrison Fewell, Marcello Colasurdo, Marzouk Mejri and others. Mother Earth also arises as a live event itinerant multimedia, which concretely supports the cause of minorities and indigenous peoples. The copyrights of two songs are in fact entirely used for Ray "Running Bear" Allen, a 75 year old Cherokee Indian prisoner for 25 years on death row in California's San Quentin.
